Ukraine is shutting off all gas flow from Russia, going through Ukraine and into Europe. This will reduce the amount of gas flow going into Europe by one third or more. This appears to be a blackmail move by Ukraine to force Europe to help in the war against Russia. This shut down of gas going into Europe will start to shut down industries, home heating an electrical power.
