When I start hearing the mainstream news sources parroting the same thing, verbatim, it makes me perk right up and take notice.

Before the war started between Russia and Ukraine, the major medias were all on the same page - saying the same lines as if it came from a central source.
The line then was: "Russia is invading Ukraine with an unprovoked attack". This was patently false, but the majority of the public doesn't have a long memory, so they didn't recall the actual chain of events that led to Putin giving the order to go in and PROTECT the Donbas area and to de-nazify the area that was a threat to Russia.

In recent days I have been hearing the same lines from the talking heads regarding the war in Ukraine. Now they are saying this: "We are facing a long drawn out war, but in the end, Ukraine will win and Russia will collapse."
Another version is: "It will be a long drawn out war, so we must be prepared for that."

To analyze what they are really saying we have to extrapolate what is considered "a long drawn out war". WW2 was 3 years for the US, a relatively short war. Afghanistan was over 20 years, which should be considered a long time. The Viet Nam war was about 10 years for the US. The Korean war lasted 3 years. The Civil War lasted 4 years.
From how the media is describing the war in Ukraine, it sounds like they expect the war to last 5-10 years.

It is obvious the globalist politicians, the media and the war colleges believe that they can maintain the war at this pace to avoid it going nuclear, and at the same time wear down Russian resources. They have concluded, right or wrong, that Putin will maintain his war status and always be pragmatic and resolute for a victory - just around the corner. They believe that the sanctions will eventually wear down Russia until the point that the Russian citizens will start to protest against the war, which could lead to an uprising and regime change.

And while this process goes on, year after year, they have concluded that whether Nato is involved or not, that neither side will resort to nuclear weapons. This is one of the most dangerous assumptions I have ever heard of in world politics.

Obviously, the main steam media and the globalist politicians believe they are standing on the moral high ground. This mentality and conclusion is presented to the public to also placate the masses emotionally, so they don't panic as the fate of war sways back and forth from one side to the other. They are in effect telling the people: "It's all going to be fine, don't worry, we have this under control, keep working and paying taxes."

The propaganda has already been thoroughly presented that Putin and the Russians are the eternal bad guys that deserve to be destroyed by the west. The controllers have built up this mindset into an emotional frenzy, where the people are now being held back from running off themselves to join the war effort in Ukraine to get in some "trigger time". The powers that be have actually placed a bounty on Putin's death. And, our politicians have actually discussed in public that Putin's officers should do the world a favor and take out Putin. This kind of heated political rhetoric has reached insane levels.

When ever I'm in town shopping I hear people say to those around that someone needs to shoot Putin. I hear this every day, several times a day.

But the reality is, Russia is no longer a full communist nation - they have a democracy, support Christianity and have not carried on any aggressive military campaigns against bordering states. I'm not saying they are a perfect example of a democracy. There is much about their past and who their friends are that make me very uncomfortable. I also cringe when I see the Russian troops flying the old Soviet Union flag - apparently old habits die hard.

But when a person looks at what caused this situation in the first place, it is obvious that Russia was given a raw deal. The west reneged on the peace deals they made and pushed Nato membership states right up to Russia's border. The west went even further, they financed and helped arm militaries to fight against Russia in proxy wars like in Syria. The majority of the US public was not aware of that fact, but Putin certainly was. The number of Russian men lost in that war is in the thousands for Russia. Putin was aware of that as well, and had to face the parents of the fallen soldiers.

During the height of that war in Syria I heard one of the war college guys commenting on that war, and he said this: "We believe that as this war goes on, that Russia will expend more resources than they can afford, which will lead to them pulling out."
Sound familiar? It is the same thing they are saying now about Russia in Ukraine. And that my friend, is why they are saying "It's going to take awhile..". In my opinion, the globalists are banking on educated arrogance to provide all the answers to achieve their long term goals. When the reality is, there are so many ways this situation could go bad, there are too many to even list.

At this time the war frenzy is bubbling over from Turkey to Finland, and all those countries and millions of people could join in the fight. Finland is at this time finalizing their membership into Nato. One ship sunk, one plane shot down, or one action too far, and Russia could push the button against all of the west...and the US.

Contrary to the money centric bankers, Russia is not going broke and not running out of resources. Even after a nuclear holocaust, and the nations stay put and abstain from military actions, they would stay home and lick their wounds and focus on their own recovery. There would be no invasion of Russia. And that means Russia survives and starts the rebuilding process. This outcome has already been considered and planned for by Russia. But the US and Europe has not planned for "the day after the bombs fall".

So when the main stream media says "Its going to take a long time..", be skeptical of their words and look at the situation as it really is, not what they want you to think it is. Look at the facts, then prepare accordingly. America is big enough and the people resilient enough that they can stay neutral in this war and survive hard times in rural areas. We may have to contend with stolen elections and corrupt politicians, but we can choose to live free in the rural areas away from the cities until the worst is over. We can grow our own food, defend our property and stay out of harm's way. Remember, that bad days will pass and afterwards, a new day will dawn. George Eaton
