- Operation is aimed to protect people.
- Ukrainian servicemen who lay down their arms will be able to return to their families.
- Goal is to demilitarize Ukraine.

They did the same thing in Crimea. It led to very minimal collateral damage. Thankfully, there are no reports of civilian deaths yet. I think Russia spent many months determining exactly what targets in Ukraine were going to be destroyed. After all, Putin said the goal is to demilitarize the Kiev Junta. Hence the many strikes we are witnessing on ammunition depots.
