Belief systems, by their very nature, should be an affront to every intelligence in the universe.

The very idea that a system of beliefs can dominate an intelligence’s life should ring like a warning that human thinking is infantile and in need of maturing.

In as much as hope, belief, faith and feelings prove nothing (but instead need proof for verification) they are potentially dangerous, and in fact scream out for someone to manipulate, corral and dam otherwise intelligent people.

Indeed, the most potent forces in the universe–hope, belief, faith and feelings–have been usurped and systemized to enslave intelligences (a travesty indeed, and in fact).

Earth is as a beautiful meadow littered with exploded bloody body parts and rotting corpses of believers in belief systems, even as more closed-minds enlist for future mayhem and slaughter (and all this because of beliefs in a loving God who hates unbelievers--exceptions noted).

Hope, belief, faith and feelings–the greatest forces in the universe–are TOOLS to gain knowledge, understanding and wisdom, but are NOT substitutes for them, thus should NOT be used as if they are. And they certainly should not be systemized in order to be used as battering rams against logic and reason.

No one needs a belief system to be loving, gentle, mild, kind, helpful, self-sacrificing, benevolent, generous and virtuous. No one needs a belief system to be NOT vain, not prideful, not egocentric and not selfish and not greedy. THE FRUITS ARE THE PROOF, and are sufficient for right thinking intelligences (and they need no belief system, because of the proof, which IS truth, and not belief).

But alas, that’s the world we live in, and our value in living in it is to overcome immaturity and a lack of understanding.
