As I look back over the last two years and then back over my lifetime, I marvel at how close we came to losing our country. I don’t think it’s going to happen now. People are waking up. All around the world people are pushing back against tyranny, marching in the streets, confronting those in power. And that is really all it takes to break the back of socialism.

Socialism can only function through power and control. There are always a few sheeple who willingly go along if they get enough crumbs at the feet of the controllers. Others just complain as though they are powerless to change the status quo.

Socialism is like a cancer. It doesn’t spring forth in one day and it doesn’t rear its ugly head in the very beginning as a rule. It is generally a well-orchestrated insidious ‘creep’.

One of the planks of socialism is to get the people used to being taken care of by a benevolent government whose only motive is to care for their people. (Excuse me, I need to go deal with my gag reflex.)

FDR made it sound reasonable to start social security. After living through the Great Depression, most of the country was all on board. No one wants seniors to go hungry or homeless after years of working and raising a family. Because of that, many saw no need to save for that rainy day. People stopped making plans to house their aging parents with them, as had been the rule beforehand.

As a side note to Republicans thinking, “What else can you expect from a Democrat?” The idea for social security came from the only woman in FDR’s cabinet, Frances Perkins, raised as a Republican. Although I believe she switched parties to serve with him as his Secretary of Labor.

The various handouts we have today are only one part of the plan. Another one that the socialists have beaten to death is racial division. I am so tired of listening to 8th and 9th generation blacks whining about their suffering slave ancestors, I could hurl. Reparation of the slaves themselves would be fine. That actually was done once freed. 40 acres and a mule for most. The Southern Democrats managed to take that away, as they did their new voting rights with one ridiculous law or rule after the other. After Lincoln was assassinated, Andrew Johnson, a Democrat, reversed Lincoln’s order and returned the land to the plantation owners. But, that is for another article.

As for the slave’s descendants growing up in a country like America? I can’t speak for blacks everywhere. But the ones who live in my area had the same education I had. They were paid the same wages I received. Most went on to live pretty good lives. Do these people screaming that America is a racist country understand that Obama would likely never have been elected president without a sizable section of white people? Blacks are 13% of the population. Not nearly enough to elect anyone. Do these fools even realize that the Democratic Party has fought integration every step of the way, including their fearless leader, Sippy Cup Joe? He thought Bull Conner was acting correctly! His giggly VP nailed him for being against bussing during the primaries. Yet, so many blacks hang onto the Democratic Party like it was a life raft. It is no wonder to me that is the Party the socialists decided to take over. Although I’m sure they have made inroads into the Republican party as well. However, the Dems, especially in the ’60s and ’70s were ripe for a socialist takeover.

Anywhere division could be promoted was fertile ground. Religion, education, social standing, wealth, politics. If you keep people busy fighting each other in any of these areas, they will be paying far less attention to what the government is doing. That is always dangerous. The Russian people found that out when the Bolsheviks took over their Revolution. That move brought them far worse tyranny than the monarchy ever had. It took them a good seventy years to throw off that yoke.

Thanks to the Deep State Globalists, who tasted power and loved it, these same-minded people decided all countries needed to be subservient to their desires and goals. Many countries fell into their trap. America came close. As I watched this slow crawl toward socialist/communist tyranny, I wondered what our Founding Fathers would have to say about America falling under the yoke of tyranny. I didn’t have to look too hard.

“If the people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls living under tyranny.” Thomas Jefferson.

“You will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make a good use of it.” John Adams.

Americans are a different breed from other countries. We truly are a melting pot. Each succession of immigrants experienced prejudice, yet were finally accepted in a generation or two as truly American. We believe we are a free people, in spite of the years of encroaching socialism. The vast majority of Americans, as is true of most of the world, just want to live in peace, have a decent job, with opportunities for advancement; a good education and the freedom to worship where they choose; the freedom to raise their children to hopefully have an even better future.

Unfortunately, they have also gotten into the lazy habit of voting for their politicians all across the spectrum and then turning their focus back from those elected. A serious mistake. I think we have realized that mistake now as we experience the results of what Jefferson warned us about. Our once fertile soil, clean air and water polluted. Our food crops altered, never in a good way. Our freedoms eroded so deeply, we almost fell into a Marxist/socialist trap of accepting mandated poisons into our bodies and our children’s bodies. By the time we woke up, the government was mandating controls in every area of our lives.

What will be the tipping point for Americans to throw off this tyranny and take our country back? Will it be long food lines? Loss of homes? Loss of the ability to travel freely? I think it will be the realization that so many Americans have been poisoned. The well-paid and corrupt doctors, scientists, nursing home and hospital administrators, and politicians can’t keep this covered up forever. When the death counts get so high that bodies are piling up in the streets; when the people realize their deaths and injuries won’t be compensated for by a corrupt insurance industry, I see a massive awakening. And massive anger bubbling up nationwide.

My only regret is that Canada went first. I was hoping for America to lead the way. The trucker’s strike in Canada is just what it takes to ignite and unite people. The wimpy socialists in power around the world weren’t bright enough to understand the mentality of truckers. It would be difficult to find a more patriotic yet independent group of folks. A group of which I was a part. These people knew how fast they could shut down the economy and bring governments to the negotiating table.

Between the trucker’s strike and the snow-balling rise in deaths and injuries from the vaxxes, I believe we are on the road to restoring people’s freedom. As John Adams said, “Use it wisely.”
