Stunning astronomical alignments at Karahan Tepe in southeast Anatolia have been discovered by Andrew Collins, Hugh Newman and JJ Ainsworth. Andrew uncovered a summer solstice sunset alignment ( https://youtu.be/GSlGuiIINDA ) and Hugh and JJ witnessed a winter solstice sunrise alignment ( https://youtu.be/n8RuQWMuhKg ) on December 20th 2021 live at the site. In this exclusive interview they discuss these discoveries with new archaeoastronomical analysis using the 'Stellarium Astronomy Software' with the help of Rodney Hale, to explore how precise there were when Karahan Tepe was built 11,000 years ago, and to explore what might be uncovered, based on this research in the ongoing excavations. We also look at how it relates to the mysterious bone plaque found at Gobekli Tepe.
