RCMP Commissioner Urges Canadians to Report ‘Anti-Government’ Internet Activity, Comments to Police

"The RCMP issued a guide called “Reporting Suspicious Incidents to Police” on Monday that encouraged Internet users to watch out for people with suspicious politics or “anti-authority” views that “include anti-government, anti-law enforcement and anarchist” opinions or “grievance-driven ideologies.”

“This category can encompass new and emerging ideologically motivated threats such as environment, animal rights, etc.,” said the guide. “The goal of the initiative is to enhance the quality of information being shared with police and to encourage the reporting of suspicious incidents and activities.”

The guide went on to advise that some people hold social or political beliefs that might be “considered extreme or outside mainstream ideologies.” It said while some ideas might be concerning to people, the police should become involved “when a person uses or actively supports violence to achieve ideological, religious or political goals.”

The RCMP added that law enforcement “has no role in policing the thoughts of Canadians.”

The city of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, has been completely sealed off since December 23, 2021, due to another COVID-19 outbreak, with 13 million residents being strictly confined to their homes.
Now more than 10 days have passed and many residents are in dire straits due to food shortages. Residents of the same building have started bartering for vegetables and rice in exchange for cell phones, computers, cigarettes and alcohol.

There were also patients who passed away due to lack of timely treatment. This is a stark contrast to the communities where the officials live with abundant supplies. Many people believe that Xi'an these days mirror Wuhan from 2020.

However, such rigid restrictions and prevention measures did not stop the spread of the virus. As of 9 a.m. on January 4, the number of infected cases in Xi'an was 2,435, an increase of 2,292 cases from the initial city closure. On January 1, the CCP took even more absurd measures to prevent the spread. According to instructions from Vice Premier Sun Chunlan, Liu Guozhong, the Party Secretary of Shaanxi Province, ordered that the cases in Xi'an must reach the goal of zero by January 4! This is a part of their "social clearance" plan, which means that all residents in the risk areas will be moved to other places outside of Xi'an for centralized isolation, so that the remaining people will no longer be at risk of infection, thus achieving the goal of "social clearance".
