The biggest news of the day is the Israeli bombing attack on the Latakia port in Syria. The fire and smoke today are massive and they haven’t been able to get it under control. Israel bombs Syria on a regular basis and they say it is Iranian proxy forces they are after. They apparently monitor all shipments of arms, ammo, rockets and other weapons, and then bomb them once they arrive.
Russia does nothing to defend Syria from these kinds of attacks.

Syria has limited air defenses against the missiles and bombs Israel is using. But recently Syria has been able to shoot down a majority of the missiles, but some still get through. Syria can’t counter attack because they don’t have the military strength to go into a full-fledged war with Israel. Russia apparently has made deals with Israel to allow attacks on Iranian forces, which begs the question: if they aren’t there to help Syria what the hell good are they for Syrian defenses? The other part of the equation is this: if Syria doesn’t want the Iran proxy forces to be attacked, why not deport them out of the country?

The sad truth is, if Syria tells the Hezbollah proxy forces, their partners in arms against ISIS, to leave the country - Israel will still attack Syria and still blame it on the proxy forces. The rest of the world has no clue if there are actual proxy forces in Syria or not.
Syria is the unlucky recipient of Israeli bombing campaigns so they will be weakened and eventually be destroyed - so they can be taken over by Israel and the western forces to control all oil and gas pipe lines through the country. You can’t placate or compromise with Israel on this subject. The world still believes that the Syrian leader gassed his own people. When you get on Israel’s sh*t list there is nothing you can do solve the problem. It is a conundrum.

It is very strange that Russia allows this to go on, which makes a person wonder what good Russia is doing in Syria. If Israel has carte blanche to bomb Syria at will, what will be left in Syria to defend?!? Russia should also be asking themselves: With friends like Israel who needs enemies? Isn’t Iran an ally of Russia and have a defense pack with them? When Israel finally does a pre-emptive attack on Iran, what exactly will Russia do for Iran? Send them flowers?

The globalists have drawn the lines of who is on what side in coming conflicts. But Russia seems to think that they’re only pretending - they certainly wouldn’t dare place Russia as an enemy. Yes, they would Russkie, and you’re on the side they want destroyed. The ground you’re standing on Putin, is sinking sand, and you better start making plans for long term national survival.

There are only a few options left for Russia, one is full nuclear war and the eventual destruction of Russia, even if they kill millions of Americans and Europeans. After the bombs fall and the dust settles, the west would still invade and take over Russia.

Another option is to selectively get along with the west, and allow the western corporations to come into the nation on a piecemeal basis and control how things change and who starts companies - but to still maintain their culture, national structure and basic defenses.

Or they could do a full capitulation, an unconditional surrender, and have no say on who takes over businesses, natural resources or the defense of Russian cultural heritage. None of these are easy choices, but some have less bloodshed than others. If I were the Russians, would choose the time stalling choice of opening up to the west with a diplomatic change of heart - and take a pragmatic approach, and allow limited partnerships with the west. Even if the west thinks it is not genuine, Russia buys more time and remains in a semblance of control. Some control is better than no control. This also allows Russia to grow economically and can become a powerful financial and industrial nation.

Would the Russians agree to such a long-term plan of opening Russia up to the west? I would guess the chances are less than 50% that they would. But, compared to a nuclear holocaust - at least it is a chance. George Eaton
