SpaceCommando, thanks so much for your wonderful info about fluvoxamine for the COVID 19 cytokine storm!!If you are staring down the barrel of a COVID 19 rifle, this thought may be pretty far from your mind, and rightly so. However, since I have been a victim of fluoroquinolone antibiotics (for my Lyme) and suffered Achilles tendon rupture, I just thought I should mention it. The F in the chemical formula, C15H21F3N2O2, for fluvoxamine stands for Fluorine (Fluoride!!) Here is the formula for Levaquin, a popular fluoroquinolone antibiotic, C18H20FN3O4 . Here is the formula for Cipro, another popular fluoroquinolone, C17H18FN3O3. I noticed that bone and tendon issues were among the side effects of fluvoxamine. After my Achilles tendon rupture, I was told NEVER to take fluoroquinolones, or ANY med with "F" in it - it could cause another spontaneous rupture! If there are any Agents/Readers with "F" issues, I just want to alert you to this possible hitch in the get-a-long with fluvoxamine, although combating the COVID cytokine storm will probably be way higher up on your list of concerns. Also, the fluvoxamine would be for a short duration, but a person with previous "F" issues would have to be MUCH MORE cognizant! This thought originated from the horribly painful memory of an Achilles tendon rupture, and I just thought it would be something that people should bear in mind. I hope you NEVER even need to think about this again!!
