This is a rare English report on the recent volcano eruption from a resident of La Palma island. The lava flow could continue another few weeks. It has been erupting a couple times a century for several centuries now. But, it is unknown if there will be a large enough earthquake to cause the island mountain to slide into the sea and create a tsunami that would travel across the Atlantic ocean. The theory was, the possible tsunami could destroy the cities on the US east coast. However, so far the earthquakes have been minimal. If the quakes increase and the mountain does slide into the sea, there would be a 7 hour period to warn the cities on the east coast to evacuate and go to higher ground. GE
