Amen. I have been in this situation, as well.

My Mom's doctor told them (my parents) he was her 'only hope' for life and not to discuss the treatment with their children. They never did/would, and even kept us totally in the dark for many years. After seven years of surgery, medication, chemo
and radiation, she finally went into hospice and allowed them to murder her with morphine. (I was with her the last two years . . . she feared leaving my father bankrupt, so she let them kill her.) It took about a month of minimal care and lots of morphine to kill her. . . . They do this to many, many people. I would never have
believed it if I hadn't lived through this experience.

Our system is broken.

My mother went home to be with the Lord in August of 2019. I miss her, but I am glad she didn't have to live through the last two years.
