(FreedomBeacon.com)- The Democrats appear to be launching what can only be described as an effort to spy on Republican communications, using their ultra-partisan January 6 committee as an excuse.

On Tuesday, Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy slammed Pelosi and the Democrat-controlled House Permanent Select Committee for their request to privately run telecommunications companies to hand over private information and communications of individuals they believe incited the January 6 riot in Washington, D.C.

Such a move would be unprecedented and highly illegal, but the Democrats don’t seem to care.

Since when do they care about pesky things like the law getting in the way of their plans?
