BATTLEFORWORLD.COM | June 26, 2021: For a few months now the Israeli press and the West were boosting that Israel had one of the highest vaccination rates in the world and that this was a good thing to fight the virus and protect from future COVID infection. The population, 57 percent of which were fully vaccinated, and 61 percent who are now receiving at least one dose of the two vaccine set. The country has approved and chose to use exclusively vaccines made by U.S. Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna.

Now, some 40 to 50 percent of the people in the Israeli population are now being infected even though they have been previously vaccinated against the virus, says the Israeli Health Ministry director Chezy Levy.

Speaking to Kan on public radio, Levy said: "Even though the numbers are low, the fact that this is reaching vaccinated people means…that we are still checking how many vaccinated people have also been infected."

Levy also reportedly said in private comments leaked to Channel 12 on Thursday (June 24): "There are officials in the healthcare system who are deliberately spreading hysteria and intimidation." And the minister has accused the health ministry of exaggerating the Delta variant's threat to pressure parents into vaccinating their children before old batches of vaccine doses expires in July (2021).
