"Like hyenas surrounding a tiger," Russian President Vladimir Putin described the United States and other NATO countries as referring to the Ukraine crisis in their annual address to the Russian National Assembly.
He also said that "they are doing this for no reason and those who organize these challenges and threaten Russia will regret it in ways that no one has regretted before."
For the first time, Vladimir Putin is making such threats, as he is a very measured leader in his expressions and it means that now the Westerners have reached the "zero" point and he is preparing to react very strongly if the West "crosses the Rubicon".
Referring to the planned coup in Belarus against President Lukashenko, he said: "There was a plot to assassinate him and no one in the West has condemned or even noticed it. Russia is applying international law, and if anyone refuses to understand this, Russia will defend its position.
"Everyone is accustomed to illegal sanctions with political motives in order to impose their will on others."
Vladimir Putin has decided to use all Russian power if the West does not back down.
It is clear that President Putin is determined and for him the "cube(dice) has been thrown", it remains to be seen what will be the next move of the West.
Will they pursue the escalation at the risk of even a nuclear holocaust or will they decide to "freeze" the crisis ?
