A crowd of (reportedly) 60,000 have gathered today in central Paris to protest about draconian security regulations just voted into place by the Macron government. During their protest the Bank of France has been set on fire, and at least two floors were ablaze in local videos. See:

A French friend of mine recently said 'France is like a pressure cooker with the release valve blocked. It can explode at any time.'

He also said 'It will take just one event to trigger a new revolution.'

This might well be it!

I assume the fire is at the head office of the Bank (it also has at least two branches in Paris), in which case it is just round the corner from Place de la Bastille - focal point for the last French revolution. Just 50 meters away!

President Macron is highly autocratic, and once compared himself with Jupiter - I am sure he meant the ruler of the gods. A better comparison might be that Jupiter is a GAS planet. He seems particularly adept at upsetting the French people!
