BATTLE FOR WORLD | July 4, 2020: The main reason why Dr. Anthony Fauci was against hydroxychloroquine was because it was inexpensive and not under patent, which decreases profit potential.

A new study done by the Henry Ford Health System may provide more legitimacy on the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat the coronavirus COVID-19.

The peer-reviewed study on July 1 was done using a large-scale retrospective analysis of patients from March 10 to May 2. The study included over 2,500 hospitalized patients from six of the Henry Ford hospitals.

Dr. Marcus Zervos, division head of infectious disease for Henry Ford Health System, said the study wanted to investigate hydroxychloroquine because data showed that it had some clinical benefit and could reduce the inflammatory response in COVID-19 patients early in the infection. And that "...it would be important to us, or potentially important to use in our patients, (because) we didn’t have any other options that were proven."

Further stating that "Currently, the drug should be used only in hospitalized patients with appropriate monitoring, and as part of study protocols, in accordance with all relevant federal regulations."

Use of the drug to treat COVID-19 remains controversial [due to Dr. Fauci]. And many health systems have decided to either not use hydroxychloroquine or stopped doing so after trying it. And those who have shun the drug are waiting for an effective treatment approved by the decision making committee tied to profit-making?

One of the vaccines rooted in a government partnership with Moderna is fueling financial rewards for company executives. In total, seven corporate executives and board members as well as a venture capital fund run by Moderna’s board chairman, have collectively sold almost $101 million in stock. The trades are said to be part of more than $200 million in sales by insiders since the Moderna vaccine was announced January 21, in partnership with the National Institutes of Health, whose director is Dr. Anthony Fauci.
