The Fed bought $398 million in individual corporate bonds over the first two days of its custom index approach to purchases this month, including UnitedHealth, AT&T, Comcast and Coca-Cola

Why are we going further into debt to buy the debt of foreign companies?
Why do the likes of Apple and Microsoft even need to issue corporate bonds?
Seems like this is propping up the index to show market doing well.
The Fed initiates $ swaps w/ foreign central banks who then give the $ to levered foreign co's that have $ denominated debts. So the Fed is spending Treasury's balance sheet to fund foreign co's the same way they are spending to cover Apple's spending, this & they are cray cray
Planned economies are the hallmark of communist/socialist governments. There was probably little choice, but we need to admit to our central planning of each sector of the economy: subsidizing the industries/companies that get to succeed. And which don’t. Not a free market.
