Solar Orbiter will take close look at Sol’s heliosphere including the corona, the aura of plasma visible during a total solar eclipse.

Put together “parasite” and “corona” and you get “coronavirus” (viruses are parasites roughly speaking)…

…spreading out of China, South Korea’s next door neighbor.

In the same region in the Far East is Japan, the “Land of the Rising Sun“, the most “solar” nation on earth which is set to host the Summer Olympics during the Dog Days of Sirius commencing in just 5 months. This will be the first Olympics since the 2018 Winter Olympics held in PyeongChang, South Korea commencing on February 9, 2018, exactly 2 years before this year’s Oscars.

Also taking place on February 9? Once Upon a Time in Hollywood which went head to head with Parasite for major awards at the Oscars including Best Picture.

Most of the action in Once Upon a Time takes place on Feb 8-9 (hat tip to reader James) or more precisely, February 9, 1969, exactly 51 years ago or one Sirius B orbit ago, when the Dog Star’s little companion was at apoapsis, i.e. the farthest point from the primary star Sirius A.
