It's out - the latest (2018) FBI "Crime in the United States" report. (Link https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2018/crime-in-the-u.s.-2018). Once again (as every year since 2001), the 3 Northern-most New England States, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, are the ONLY 3 States with a "Violent Crime Rate per 100,000 inhabitants" of UNDER 200. (Link https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2018/crime-in-the-u.s.-2018/topic-pages/tables/table-5). New Hampshire has a "Violent Crime Rate per 100,000 inhabitants" of 173.2. Vermont has a "Violent Crime Rate per 100,000 inhabitants" of 172.0. And Maine has a "Violent Crime Rate per 100,000 inhabitants" of 112.1.

And once again DC, Alaska, and New Mexico top the list at: New Mexico has a "Violent Crime Rate per 100,000 inhabitants" of 856.6. Alaska has a "Violent Crime Rate per 100,000 inhabitants" of 885.0. And Washington DC, our nation's Capitol, leads the pack again with a "Violent Crime Rate per 100,000 inhabitants" of 995.9.

Such a consistently low Violent Crime rate, yet little to no "gun control" laws to speak of. I can buy ANY Handgun, Rifle, or Shotgun (not presently banned by fed gov) I desire without first having to get permission from the state of NH (gun owner ID card), and without having to pay them (NH) any fees. There are no "Red Flag" laws, no waiting periods, no magazine capacity bans, no ammo bans, and no assault weapons bans. Thanks to Constitutional Carry, I can carry concealed for self defense without having to get permission from the state (a concealed handgun license). Open Carry is also legal. And there is no state "Gun Free School Zone" law. (Not that the dems aren't trying to take all this away from us - thank God for our republican Governor).
