Matt 25:1-11
1)Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. (KJV)

Key thoughts: the scriptural meaning of the number 5 is Grace. Thus both groups were given God’s Grace. The Number 10 indicates Spiritual Completeness. This info from Bullinger, or Vallowe. (or web search). The lamps are symbolic of the spiritual light of the Word of God (knowledge).
2985 lampas- 1) a torch 2) a lamp, the flame of which is fed with oil
1637 elaion- olive oil-- a) for fuel for lamps b) for healing the sick c) for anointing the head and body at feasts d) mentioned among articles of commerce

This same word (2985) is used in NT texts 9 times. Here in this parable it’s used FIVE TIMES! and (compare) Jn 18.3(torches), Acts 20:8, Rev 4:5 and 6:10. There are of course other words for lamp/light in many parts of the texts, which principally have physical meaning. But, this word 2985 has only spiritual meaning, particularly, ‘torches’, Jn 18:3 (looking to take Jesus) ‘upper loft”(Acts 20:8) , and prophetic meaning as in Rev 4:5 and 6:10.

There are other words for olive oil in the texts. 1636 and 1638, but they are used in the physical sense, (such as groves and olive berries). 1637 is used only in the Spiritual sense for it’s anointing and healing abilities. Olive oil was always used in both testaments for it’s healing and soothing as well as culinary uses. It was depended upon to provide physical light, much as the word of God provides Spiritual light (knowledge)

Virgins: All 10 were lovers of their bridegroom, Jesus, and waiting for his return. (end times, promised marriage of the lamb). They were not ’sinners’. They all 10 were faithful to him, ’religious’, praising him to all that asked of Him, willingly professing their love for Him only as their God. etc. Five of them had actually ’seen’ Him through his Word. Five had only heard their pastor describe Him, and when He‘s coming..
All 10 were waiting for Him. But, 5 were ’foolish’ 3474 moros (mo-ros');
probably from the base of 3466; dull or stupid (as if shut up), i.e. heedless, (morally) blockhead, (apparently) absurd: (they were faithful bethel pew warmers, buying 100 % of whatever was being sold that Sunday by their ‘pastor‘, never checking the written Word (elaion) for themselves--- ie, they were “Rapture Ready“, no worries, any moment now they were going to fly away.) Hence, they carried no oil ever. They happily filled their lamps each Sunday, and were just ‘ready any moment’.

Five of them were wise, tho. 5429 phronimos-1) intelligent, wise 2) prudent, that is, mindful of one's interests. They knew from the Word they had studied in great detail that there is both a true and false ’jesus’. They had actually read and knew that the fake one is actually coming first. See Rev 13. And, they knew what was coming soon, and rejoiced, discussing and holding many other truths that the others rejected.

So then the ‘cry’… there He is… the world says He’s Here… So, the 5 wise ones looked down and pinched their arm… hmmm still flesh, they said… he’s the fake. Because they knew when Jesus actually returned they would all be changed into spiritual bodies. It is written many places.. So they sat on their duffs and made coffee while reading and discussing some more of the Word to pass the time.

The five foolish ones came back from their rapture party and said--- ya’ll come see!! The wise looked up, took a sip of coffee and said.. He’s fake-- pinch your arm… you are still flesh. The foolish exclaimed “what do you mean FAKE?? Show us .. Here is my Scofield Reference Bible.
They turned it to II Th 2, and told them to read vv 1-3
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; (KJV)

The wise ones pointed at it and said… we have been trying to tell you for years, and you always said “that’s not what my pastor and my ‘Bible’ notes say it means… Remember? So go to your bethel ‘pusher’ and see what he says. It’s way too late now to spend time arguing and explaining…Besides there is a lot going on right now, and things will be happening quick. So just go buy what he’s selling today.

It is telling indeed that those two Greek words, ‘buy and sell’ are used together in a single verse only 7 places in the texts. The number 7 means ‘complete’ in Biblical numbers. The six places other than here in Mt 25 are:
Mk 11:15 (Jesus kicking those who bought and sold out of the Temple)
Mt 13:44 (selling all you own to buy the ‘field’ where the treasure is hidden)
Mt 21:12 (Jesus kicking those who bought and sold out of the Temple)
Lk 17:28 (as stuff was trafficked ’bought and sold’ in Sodom during the days of Lot)
Lk 22:36 (Jesus telling the Apostles to sell their garment and buy a sword)
And the biggie: Rev 13:
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (KJV)

Remember what He said to the reapers…FIRST gather the tares and burn them. Then gather the wheat into my barn…. (Matthew 13:30)

It’s Consistent throughout the Word… in all His parables -- the First taken go to destruction.

So, if you think it’s Jesus with all the miracles you see, just pinch your arm. If it hurts, it ain’t Him… it’s the fake. He bats first, you know. Just wait.
