Considering #lymedisease is the #1 vector-borne disease in North America, should the CDC and Public Health Agency of Canada issue a nation-wide bulletin to healthcare providers and the general public (you) regarding the RISK of mother-to-baby (in utero) transmission of Lyme disease?

Should you be equipped and educated with this information?

We will be sharing your response at an upcoming meeting with the Public Health Agency of Canada this Friday.

We have compiled all the evidence of mother-baby transmission here.

Did you know that Canada Federal Health Authorities first warned of this alternate mode of transplacental (mom to baby) transmission in 1988 in an epidemiology bulletin ?

Yet, 31 years later they no longer communicate this to general public and health care providers despite the body of evidence that exists.
