Long video, but excellent journalism about the reasons why Seattle is dying. Along with other major cities. Ayn Rand, love her or hate her...was spot on about many aspects of society. You cannot take from people who make money and produce for themselves to give support to those who cannot or refuse to produce in order for a civilization to solve anything. You can achieve power by doing so. But in so doing, everybody loses in the end. If you listen to these people's despair, the business people, the tourists, the workers....they are very much appalled and dismayed at the decay.

This will come to America as a whole, because it is inevitable with Democracies, you can see for yourself that America is slowly being transformed into one. Even though that was not the intent of our founders, we were supposed to be a Constitutional Republic, without citizens being taxed on their income or a central bank taxing our government to print our own money. Congress was to print money at 1% interest. Democracies are the death knoll of civilization, as history itself always shows. But enough people will deny this simple fact to the end for that unattainable, pipe dream of utopia.

It always ends in dystopia.

Like present day, Seattle.
