Were you or a loved one present at the Las Vegas shooting that occurred October 1, 2017 at Mandalay Bay Resort?
The horrific mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest music festival gripped the nation left 58 people dead and 546 injured. Countless others have been left with emotional injuries such as PTSD that may never heal. Now, months later, survivors and victims’ families are still searching for closure, including financial help for medical bills, missed work, and counseling for post-traumatic stress disorder.
Thousands of individuals have applied for financial aid from state-run programs that offer monetary support for victims of violent crimes. A non-profit Las Vegas Victims Fund has also been established to oversee the distribution of nearly $22 million that was raised in the days and weeks following the Route 91 Festival shooting. However, many individuals are reporting that their claims are being denied after they were deemed “not injured enough.”
If any of the following apply to you or a loved one, you deserve compensation — and you deserve an attorney who will fight to prove your injuries.
Anybody inside the gates when the shooting started.
Anybody outside the gates who was not at the concert but was physically injured in the chaos after the shooting and went to the doctor or emergency room before October 10, 2017.
Lawsuits are being filed now by hundreds of victims seeking to hold MGM Resorts International, the owner of Mandalay Bay Resort; Live Nation, the organizer of the Route 91 Festival; and the $5 million estate of the deceased gunman responsible.
Filing a Las Vegas shooting lawsuit could not only help you obtain compensation needed to address your injuries, but could also help make Vegas a safer place for everyone. Many hotel operators have already updated their safety protocols in response to the tragedy and threat of legal action.
