In March 1930, the scientific community was all abuzz when Pluto was formally announced as a new planet located in the outskirts of our solar system.

In 2006, the International Astronomical Union reclassified Pluto as a dwarf planet because it did not meet the three criteria the IAU uses to define a full-sized planet. Despite the downgrade, the astrological community still attributes major significance to Pluto's location in the heavens to this day.

Among astrologers, Pluto is associated with creative destructive, transformation, and death and rebirth. Many astrologers have commented that Pluto has spent most of the time since 2008 traveling through the Zodiac sign of Capricorn — an auspicious planetary alignment (aka PLUTO RETURN) that was last seen during the American Revolution of 1776 and will not be repeated for 248 years.

After temporarily entering Aquarius on January 20th of this year, Pluto moved back for its final sojourn in Capricorn that began on September 2nd and will end on November 19th when Aquarius will become Pluto's home for the next 19 years.

In the United States, the highly contentious presidential election is scheduled to take place at the beginning of November. Emotional tension is rampant, and many are anticipating that election results may take days to decide, or that the election may be canceled altogether.
