I’ve often heard the quote, “Information gathered, not used, has no purpose”. The fact that we now live in a world of information overload, exemplifies the point even further.

Information, in its essence, holds value only when it is actively applied or utilized. Data, facts, and knowledge are inherently neutral; they acquire significance and purpose only when they are interpreted, acted upon, or communicated. When information is left unused—whether stored, ignored, or forgotten—it remains inert, devoid of impact or influence. In this dormant state, it serves no practical function, failing to contribute to decision-making, learning, innovation, or problem-solving. Thus, the true purpose of information lies not in its mere existence, but in its application, which transforms it from potential into progress.

Individuals who excessively gather information without a clear intention or application often fall into the trap of information overload. This tendency can stem from a desire for thoroughness, fear of missing out, or the mistaken belief that more information inherently leads to better decisions. However, when this accumulation of Intel lacks direction or purpose, it becomes a form of procrastination, where the pursuit of knowledge replaces meaningful action. Instead of empowering them, this endless quest for more data can lead to analysis paralysis, where the sheer volume of information hinders rather than helps decision-making. Ultimately, without a clear plan for applying what they've learned, these individuals risk wasting time and energy on knowledge that remains unused, rendering their efforts fruitless.

Intel providers and bloggers capitalize on these, seekers of truths, obsession to gather information, ( An obsession they created) that has no practical application once gathered.

Here is an example to exemplify the point. A man has a boat with a hole in it. He hires a person to bailout the boat and says, “ Bailout the boat and you get your own boat.” The person in the boat says “ there I've bailed out the boat”. The owner replies, “Okay, just one more bail and you get your own boat”. Does another bail. “Okay, just one more bail and you'll get your own boat”. And so on and on you go. In the job world it’s “okay just one more good quarter and you get a raise, increase sales 10% and you get raise, produce just a little more and you get your store and so on and so on.

The Intel providers and bloggers are doing the same thing, “Listen to me just one more time and the blessing will be here”. You listen to their information, nothing happens and it’s always “just listen to one more time and your blessing will be here” One more bail and you get your boat! The problem lies in the information being provided has no purpose. If your intent is to satisfy a curiosity, I get it. But to obsess over it is a waste of time. A person would be better served using their time gathering information that is pertinent and can be used to bear fruit from their efforts.

When this happens, and it will, you will not have to put the dots together or follow the multitude of Intel providers commentary. Everyone will know. Think about it, you can’t change the entire global financial system and everyone not know about it. But the when and how will not be known until it happens.

Remember this, those that know don’t say and those that say don’t know.
