Three Spanking New Candidates for the Dems
by Mary W Maxwell, PhD, LLB
In the presidential primaries that were held in the Spring of 2024, Democrat Party leaders in some states did not even permit any Dems to run against Biden. How undemocratic can you get? And today they will probably limit the participation of newcomers. Why so? There are many Americans who could do the job.
Let me introduce three Democrat newcomers: Marianne Williamson, Zephyr Teachout, and John Kennedy (a.k.a. Quigley, not to be confused with Sen John Kennedy from Louisiana who is Republican):
Marianne Williamson (b 1952)
Marianne did run in some state primaries but got no delegates and suspended her campaign. However in on July 2 she announced that she was un-suspending it.
She has never been a politician. She is a spiritual leader. I have seen her perform and I think she is very intelligent. She promotes altruism and spirituality. Her main appeal is to those (nearly everyone) who are in financial debt. She says:
"This country doesn’t need more technicians; it needs a vision. And those whose careers have been entrenched in a system that drove us into a ditch are hardly the ones we should consider uniquely qualified to lead us out of it. An entrenched political class is the problem, it is not the answer."
Zephyr Teachout (b 1971)
Zephyr Teachout (her middle name is Rain) is a law professor at Fordham in New York. Her dad is a law professor in Vermont. She has run for NY Attorney General, and run against Andrew Cuomo for governor. I think she would be a terrific pick.
Zephyr Teachout is author of the book Break 'em Up. That is, she wants to get rid of monopolies. I bet she could do it, given that the Sherman Anti-Trust Act of 1890 is still in force, It quite simply criminalizes those who engage in "combination." May I quote?
“15 USC 1: Every contract, combination in the form of trust or otherwise, or conspiracy, in restraint of trade ... among the several States, or with foreign nations, is declared to be illegal. Every person who shall make any contract or engage in any combination ... shall be deemed guilty of a felony....”
What? You didn't know that all the big boys could find themselves in San Quentin tomorrow? Yes, they could. Zephyr Teachout is also the mother of a pre-school child, and that would give any president an extra incentive to fight.
John F Kennedy, Jr (b 1960)
Speaking of pre-school children, there is a man in Arizona who lived in the White House from age 2 months to age 3. He has "come out" from hiding. He is the true son of President John F Kennedy who died in November 1963. (I'll stake my reputation on this.)
Back in 1968, after the killing of Democratic presidential nominee Robert F Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy agreed to hide her son John in a witness protection program, using the name David Quigley. This did not turn out well for the kid. He was tortured under the MK-Ultra program and led a harsh life until almost today.
What about the lad we saw grow up as "John F Kennedy, Jr" and who died in a plane crash in 1999? David Quigley says he was a fake. He gives us the lowdown in a new book Stolen Identity. I have written articles about it at GumshoeNews.com on July 8 and July 11, 2024, so I won't attempt to persuade you now.
Could he run for president this year? No problem. I don't think he's quite up to it, as the MK-Ultra somewhat wrecked his memory. But he has a feature that no other candidate has: he knows who does what to whom behind the scenes. His 'handler,' code-named 'Wayne,' showed him the connections between mafia, government, military and (wait for it) the entertainment industry.
How We Got Conditioned to the Campaign Circus
The choosing of a president should, in my opinion, be based on talent and sincerity. No one thinks of it that way. We have been taught to be mere spectators “waiting for” the procedure, which is party-based, to work itself out as follows:
First, each party holds a primary at the polls in the Spring. From that, each state’s party chooses delegates. (I don’t know how it is done. In 2008, I was told that if Ron Paul got any New Hampshire delegates, I would be one of them!) Second, the delegates meet in a summer convention; Repubs just had theirs in Milwaukee; the Dems will be at Chicago on August 24. From that, a single nominee is chosen. Third, each state runs an election on the first Tuesday of November between the two nominees. From that, we wait to see if either got the needed 217 Electoral College votes.
Never mind that that is all outside the Constitution. The parchment never mentions “parties.” The correct procedure is for each state to arrange for an electoral college, whose members are chosen according to state law. Congress has established December 14 as the day for Electors to cast their ballots for President and Vice President. These ballots get opened on January 6 on “the Hill” and usually leads to a clear win. He or she prepares for Inauguration on January 20.
2024 Is the Year for Us To Get Un-conditioned
Let’s resist an invitation to the aforementioned circus. The sudden withdrawal of President Biden from the race presents a wonderful chance for people to wake up and discover their power. In general, Americans are over-concerned with Parties. This allowed the media to keep referring to a forthcoming Trump/Biden fight. “Oh, you didn’t really like either of those two men? Don’t worry, the guy himself doesn’t matter. It’s the hundred million or so Dems and 100 million or so Repubs that matter – they must fight until the ideology of one of them triumphs.” Quel rubbish!
(You may think I’ve got that wrong, that media stresses the man. But as I said above, and as Marianne Williamson has complained, the “DNC” – whatever the hell that is, forced Biden to be the sole symbol of the Party. I can tell you that it was the same for me as a Repub candidate in the NH primaries of 2020 and 2024. In 2020 I felt welcome at Party events but in 2024 I was looked at as some kind of traitor for challenging Trump. Nationally, Trump had 500 such challengers but it’s a miracle if you heard about them.)
Anyway, no Dem can now be called a traitor for disloyalty to Biden since there is no Candidate Biden. The thing is wide open from now until December 14 when the Electors meet. You still have time to get your state legislature to change any statute concerning the picking of Electors and/or the instructions that are saddled with.
At the moment, 18 states refrain from saddling: Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming. Isn’t that nice?
There has been some jurisprudence on the saddling subject but it is inconclusive. I think there should be no saddling, and that Electors should be chosen by lot. That will be messy but so what. The “neat” method was followed in 2020, leaving everyone unhappy.
