The Pentagon's Central Command reported a series of attacks on three commercial ships in the Red Sea that occurred within one day. In response to these attacks, the American destroyer USS Carney shot down three drones.

According to reports, the attacks on the American warship were carried out using missiles and drones launched from Yemen. The Pentagon clarified that the USS Carney responded to alarm signals and registered a missile attack that occurred from territory controlled by the Yemeni Houthis. It was noted that the missile flew in close proximity to the Unity Explorer cargo ship.

The American destroyer then shot down several more drones, preventing further attacks. According to the Pentagon, the destroyer's crew was not injured as a result of these incidents.

The Houthis, in turn, issued a statement about the attack on two Israeli civilian ships in the Bab al-Mandeb Strait: the Unity Explorer ship and the Number 9 ship. According to them, the first was attacked by a ship-borne missile, and the second by a ship-borne drone. The attacks were carried out after the ships ignored warning messages from the Yemeni military. The Houthis claim that they will continue to prevent Israeli ships from sailing in the Red and Arabian Seas until the “Zionist aggression” against Gaza ends...

"This morning, the Yemeni Navy, with the help of the Almighty, attacked two Israeli ships in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, namely the ship "Unity Explorer" and the ship "Number 9".
