The results were compelling. Spirituality of Science was not only associated with belief in science but also with feelings of awe and general spirituality. This suggests that the spiritual experiences derived from science can be psychologically similar to those experienced through religion.

Study Two: Atheists and Agnostics Find Wellbeing in Science

The second study focused on a group of 526 atheists and agnostics, unveiling that the Spirituality of Science was correlated with psychological wellbeing, including happiness and a sense of meaning in life. Dr. Preston explained, “This research has found that in fact, sources of spirituality outside of religion, like science, can have similar positive effects.”
Study Three: Enhancing Science Education through Spirituality

The third study explored the links between Spirituality of Science and engagement and learning in scientific subjects. Remarkably, spiritual experiences in science predicted stronger engagement and better recall of scientific information among participants.
