"Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take up arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom" -- John F. Kennedy

Kennedy is my favorite president because he is the only one that I know, since Thomas Jefferson, to have such high regard for freedom and liberty. Not even Trump does that.

I am old enough to remember Kennedy. I was in the 8th grade when he was elected and in the 11th grade when he was killed. I remember the humor he brought to his press conferences and being out camping and sitting at the picnic table when my father came back with a copy of a newspaper that headlined the death of the Kennedy's newborn son. I also remember the many photos that were released of him with his young wife and family, which was quite a change from the Eisenhower presidency. They called it Camelot.

As much as anything, I think it was envy that killed Kennedy. He had everything going for him including being a war hero and having a lot of charisma when compared to crooked losers such as Johnson who dishonestly got into the positions that he held. And Johnson wanted his job. Comments that he was said to have made just before Kennedy's assassination are reveling.

If you look at that quote, again, Kennedy was an unabashed supporter of the Second Amendment. He even brought up the Minutemen, New England's colonial militias.

Freedom was evident in Kennedy's Inaugural Address, right from the beginning, culminating with:

"Let every nation know whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty."

Then, near the end, he said the following:

"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you--ask what you can do for your country.

My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man."

Kennedy was a genius who held America's original vision and who clearly saw the reason for America's very being.

As of now, there isn't much that America can do for you, except to kill, steal, and destroy -- otherwise known as the devil's work. But there is a lot that you, and we need to do to save her.

Now it is mostly just staying strong until we, like the Minutemen, might be called to do otherwise. If we fail, Jefferson's and Kennedy's vision of freedom and liberty, already lost to almost everyone, will be lost forever.

I mourn JFK every time I think of him, and what we and the world have lost to evil, and what we might have had with a pullout from Eisenhower's involvement in French Indochina and Vietnam, to the end of the debt-based dollar with his issuance of United States Notes, and to the peace that both he and Khrushchev were working together on, behind the scenes, beginning with the Cuban missile crisis, while the hawks in both countries kept trying to set us up for war.

So, in closing, I have only this to say: May everyone that was involved in Kennedy's tragic death be damned to hell.
