The politicians debated, the war factories thrived and the rich gained wealth, and then the people sought peace. But it was too late for the seven thousand.

The wealthy hired newsmen with bribes, so the war raged on, but millions more gathered for peace. But it was too late for the seven thousand.

The wealthy claimed that “war was the answer!” as they gathered more armies - while the people stood unwavered for peace. But it was too late for the seven thousand.

Then the nations saw the schemes the rich were hatching. And they shouted and marched day and night to stop the war. But it was too late for the seven thousand.

In dark rooms the rich conspired to let loose the flow of hate, so the deaths would mount, and force the masses into war. But the lovers of peace couldn’t stop the machine – and seven thousand innocent lives were destroyed forever. Now it’s too late to save the seven thousand.

Now the nations rise up against nations, and sharpen their swords and swell with pride and say to themselves “It’s through war we find peace!”. But it's too late for the seven thousand.
