In the public narrative the former top official of 🇦🇹 Austria's Dept of Justice committed "suicide" on Oct. 20th after a police control where his driving license was collected due to alleged drunk driving shortly before midnight of the 19th.

From there on, the statements diverge.

According to comments by the officers Pilnacek "was first brought to the police station by the cops", & from were he was escorted home (to Krems) by an (unknown)"acquaintance", a statement that later turned into - that the police had brought him home, then returning again, "to see after him".

Anyway, one of the most powerful men in Austria's legal structure was found to be dead on exactly that day when the former chancellor Kurz had to appear before the court. In an interview when leaving the court room Sebastian Kurz spoke of his "shock" when he got to know that Pilnacek had "commited suicide" - moreover they have had a phone call the evening before...

Why was Kurz the first person speaking definitely of "suicide" when before everything seemed to be unclear?

In a short interview on 20th a police spokesman had stated, that Pilnacek was "fished out of the Danube" and the crime dept was investigating! That statement was aired on a private TV channel only once. No other news outlet dared to pick this up later. Instead there were rumors of a "farewell SMS" plus other smokescreens, as endless discussions around the possible motives for his "suicide" only.

Those were clear signs of damage control as it seems that an alleged "suiciding" had to be done very hastely! Why?

Pilnacek had been suspended from all his legal duties for two and a half years due to the initiation of a shady court procedure - obviousely by the Green party who provides the Min of Justice & the vice chancellor in the coalition - where he was cleared from all charges awaiting his reinstallment soon. Pilnacek had been speaking openly of a "coup", leading to the recent 🇦🇹 government...

What are my reporting colleagues in Austria afraid of?

Was Pilnacek "haidered" or did he undergo some kind of protection program? Everything is possible during the next few months. Expect the unbelievable! Stand with your powers!
