Sidney Powell Is GUILTY -- Guilty of Hard Work, Valor (by the Ton), and Love of Country
by Mary W Maxwell, PhD, LLB
You will have heard that Sidney Powell pleaded guilty, under a plea bargain, to misdemeanors in the Georgia case. Happily this means that the text of her deposition to the Jan 6 Select Committee has now been released. I find it extremely uplifting. It is about 180 pages long at Powell's website DefendTheRepublic.org.
The deposition is dated May 2022 – too bad we did not have it sooner. Since I am not 100% sure that I am allowed to reprint it, I won’t publish it today, but here is the link:

Yay! You go, Sidney, and thanks for your honesty. I already knew you were honest from reading you 2014 book “Licensed to Lie.” Personally, I’ve had my nose to the grindstone for about 18 years, concerning our Republic, and your deposition to the Committee is the first time I have felt that we are turning a corner. We will win. Truth WILL out.
Ahem, but how slow is the progress! Ms Powell's woes led me to look again at Bob Fitrakis's book "Did George w Bush Steal the 2004 Election?" (against John Kerry). The 2004 trickery contained all the familiar elements of 2020, including both the hacking of voting machines and the “2,000 Mules” type delivery of absentee ballots.
Naturally, there was a January 6, 2004 ceremonial opening of the Electoral College ballots. Rep Stephanie Tubb Jones raised the first objection on behalf of her state of Ohio. (You can raise it for states other than your own, too.) Allow me to mention that Tubb Jones died, much later, in a one-car crash.
Anyway, after Tubb Jones reported in detail on the blatant dishonesty of the election, Louisiana Rep Bobby Jindal rose to disagree. Jindal made the most out-of-whack statement of the day, or at least of the 2-hour debate. Rep Jindal said:
"Mr. Speaker, it is a great honor to address this House for the first time in my elected career. It is also with a heavy heart that I address this House.
"I think that this debate diminishes this House. This was one of the proudest weeks of my life, when my father was able to see his son being sworn into this House, when I was able to bring my daughter to watch her father being sworn into this House.
"As a son of immigrants, I take very seriously the freedoms and rights granted to us in this country, America, the greatest country in the world.
"I think we diminish this House by the discussion that we are having. Let us be clear. We are not here at a congressional hearing. We are not hear to talk about improving our election procedures. We are hear to certify the results of this recent election. We are here to certify the fact that President Bush did, indeed, win the votes granted to him in the State of Ohio; did, indeed, win election across this great country.
"Even CBS news has recognized the fact that President Bush has won this election. This is probably the only place left that is still disputing this election.
"What kind of message are we sending out? What kind of message are we sending to the rest of the world where we bring democracy to every corner? Where we are trying to bring democracy, the right to vote to Afghanistan, to Iraq, to the Palestinian people, what message do we send when we stand up and say if you lose an election, if you do not like the results, you can always go to court, you can always hire an attorney?
"This is the wrong message to be sending. This does not bring honor to this House. This does not bring honor to our democratic tradition. This does not bring honor to the history of a peaceful transition of power. This does not bring honor to those who have gracefully conceded before. [Albert Gore in 2000?]
"Indeed, in my own home State we had a congressional election decided by less than half of a percentage point, less than one vote per precinct. I want to stand up here and congratulate both the Democratic winner of that election, as well as his Republican opponent.
"Mr. Speaker, I have got several remarks from several different editorial pages from the State of Ohio that say that we should not be having this discussion, that say that the votes were counted in Ohio. There is another place, there is another time [2023?] to be having this discussion. Today is about certifying, accepting the results.

Ever heard anything like that? In 2008, Jindal became governor of LA. Oh, for the late Louisiana governor, Kathleen Blanco, who refused to federalize her National Guard during Hurricane Katrina in 2005! Oh, for the America we oldies once knew -- and took for granted.
Note: I am presently on the ballot in New Hampshire as a candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. Invite me to speak to your group, please, especially on the topic of Citizen-led Grand Juries. Or Maui fires. Or mind control. Or child trafficking by government.
