Yes indeed "AIR POWER" narrated by Walter Cronkite, music by NORMAN DELLO-JOIO. It was CBS Television's answer to NBC's Victory At Sea that was airing during the same time period 1950s & 1960s. Watched this on TV as a child and flipped when I heard this symphonic suite on the radio. But when I tried to buy a copy of this LP, it was no where to be found. It seems to have gone out of print just as fast as it was released. When Columbia released most of their catalogue on their budget ODYSSEY label they conveniently skipped over this album. Guess it hadn't been a good seller for them. Even when SONY bought out Columbia, they never re-issued this album. For all those interested, ALBANY RECORDS has released this music on CD. It bears the number "TROY 250" The disc also contains music of John Vincent. Much thanks to Will for posting this and even more thanks to Will's Dad for keeping this album for Will to find !!!! Sure hope Will gets more than 76 views, he deserves it.
