Breaking News: Reappearance of Judge Christine Johnson who was MIA following the Failed Cromar Sentencing Hearing

At approximately 10:00 am on October 5, 2023, Ken Cromar was informed that he was he was scheduled to be in a court hearing via Webex. Ken had no idea that there was a court hearing and after waiting about 50 minutes Ken saw Judge Christine Johnson’s face popped on the screen. [Judge Johnson has seemed to be missing in action since the failed sentencing hearing on August 19th 2022 – so, it came as a rather big surprise to see her now appearing at this unscheduled Webex hearing]

Judge Johnson stated that the hearing was for the Felony Burglary Trial in the 4th District Court in Provo Utah held in June of 2022, and then said, we are here to find out if you are willing to meet with Adult Parole and Probation (AP&P) or if I am going to sentence you right here and now.

Ken, who was totally unprepared for the hearing responded with, On and for the record, first, is Lisa Maxine Estrada present? Judge Johnson replied, she was he earlier but she is not here now. Ken then asked, Is Ms. Estrada still on the docket as our public defender in error? In response Judge Johnson said, yes, but she is gone for the filling of the papers. Ken replied, that’s interesting because she has never, ever, responded to any of our emails, phone calls and she has sent all of our correspondence back!

Judge Johnson responded with, well the question stands are you willing to talk to AP&P or do you want me to sentence you right here and now in this court. Ken told Judge Johnson the following:

On and for the record:

I do not consent to these proceedings
I do not consent to be the surety
I do not consent to contract for joinder
I do not consent to voluntary or involuntary servitude
I do not consent to any further proceedings
I feel my life is in danger and has been by a number of the officers of the court and even the sheriff’s department, all of who are in conflict because they owe me money on defaulted invoices for trespass and damages to my wife and myself.

Judge Johnson interjected with, do you want to meet with AP&P to which Ken remarked, here is the problem, we had met with Mr. Coleby of AP&P with the phone and we provided a written response to all of the questions before sentencing, which was scheduled on August 19th. However, that did not show up in his report to you in the court because he said that we didn’t respond, which is incorrect. Then this court decided to put out a warrant for our arrest 2 days prior to the sentencing hearing, which we intended to be at. But we fear for our lives! I have been attacked, assaulted, and battered by a Deputy Steiner on June 16, 2022, while I was trying to get subpoenas.

Judge Johnson interrupted saying, I understand you are currently in custody in Weber County on a Federal matter. Ken replied, I have been in custody for 37 days after being kidnapped by the FBI in Wyoming and being transported across state lines.

Judge Johnson the remarked, I’m not here to listen to your litany of such and such, I just want to know if you are willing to talk to AP&P, if I send them up there to visit with you. Ken replied, yes, that could be amenable but we don’t want to sign a contract with AP&P that has unknown consequences, we have already answered their questions.

Judge Johnson then replied, Well I’m going to push this out and continue this sentencing hearing until November 16th. The approximate 6-minute hearing was concluded after Ken said, Madam Johnson I do no consent to any further proceedings.

The foregoing was obtained from a recorded phone call between Ken Cromar and Rayland Brunson. Ken asked him to obtain copies of the voice and video recordings of this hearing along with a copy of the court transcription and then expressed his satisfaction he was able to get the six key points on the court record.

At this point, Ken is still incarcerated at the Weber County Jail in Ogden, Utah and is being blocked at every turn – hampered communications, access to law library, receiving documents, and he STILL has NOT received discovery, which the judge ordered delivered to him by September 19th.

Ken is being denied due process and access to the courts even though he has He has had to hand-write several of the documents that needed to be filed for his appeal to the Court.

Fortunately, Ken remains in good spirits. He has a team of friends/associates, working on the necessary legal documents and by lengthy email means, he does receive some documents that have been hand delivered to him by a team member.

Ken has gone on the offense and is taking the fight to Goliath and intends to win! He is doing missionary work in the jail and has a positive attitude even though he is “going through hell”.
