Odd delivery from GOV to a Western NC school
Just to clarify this is NOT my information as I read it on another CS website and didn't see it here. Just spreading the word incase you have children in this area. Not sure exactly what it means but according to the person that wrote this its bizarre. This happened in Buncombe County....
"A relative of mine works for the local Board of Education. He said that a couple of weeks ago, without any warning, they received a huge shipment from the federal government of the following items.. (weird in itself.).
Enough high capacity air purifiers to cover every floor in every school in the district, (90+ of these huge purifiers).
truckloads of big black trash bags and gloves, along with truckloads of (kitty litter maybe), that is normally used to clean up spills of vomit, and other nasty things at schools.
multiple truckloads of rolls of paper towels.
The weird thing, is that these items weren't requested by anyone involved in the school system. These trucks just showed up unexpectedly with these items, with some official looking instructions to store these items, and they'd be told when to deploy it all to the schools.
There were enough of these "supplies", to leave the maintenance folks to store these delivered items in every store room, closet, etc available.
I'm not sure what's going on with our county schools, but I was just curious as to whether anyone else had gotten wind of similar happening in their areas."

well now - the air purifiers got me.
the other items listed COULD be sent home with students if schools need to close. Most schools will close due to illness if a certain threshold percentage of students are no-shows, or got sick at school.
but you ain't sending 4th graders home with a big ole air purifier in their backpack...
No, this reeks for me of a plan to KEEP STUDENTS IN SCHOOL for their own safety if something is rampant in the community. For days on end if needed. And whether parents agree or not.

Doesn't make sense for a disease, because a disease takes enough time to spread that the schools would simply be closed and the kids would be told to stay at home. (unless the disease was weaponized like Anthrax and dispersed with some method like via drones).
This would be for a massive, rapid onset event.
Dirty bomb, Nuke, some sort of WMD. ALthough if they really wanted to prepare to keep kids safe they would have gotten some 3M P-100 half mask respirators and goggles at a minimum.
Trash bags (hopefully they aren't body bags). to collect contaminated materials. (clothing most likely). ALthough they should have shipped them some hospital gowns or something for the kids to wear.
Who knows? Could be anything with the freaks running government these days. (excerpts)

In addition to this report, there have been two major incidents, in the past few days, involving passengers jets carrying sick passengers - where the planes had to be quarantined and decontaminated. One arrived from the Burning Man event and landed in LAX (Los Angeles), and one landed in Alanta.
The one that landed in LAX had a passeneger from the Burnng Man event that was vomiting up blood. The plane was sent to a terminal that was cordoned off. But this report has not been verified after the initial report. In fact, the authorities are now denying the entire incident and said it was a suspicious packege they were investigatng. But I read the account from eyewitneses that were on the plane.
The other report was reported on friday involving a plane that was sent to Atlanta because of a sick passenger on board.

My comment: Time will tell if any pandemic comes from these reports. So far all we have are rumors and speculation. One man did die at the Burning Man event, but that may not be that unusual with 73,000 people attending, and drugs and alcohol flowing freely.
On a side note, it is highly possible a large gathering of people in close quarters would be the ideal way to spread an infectous pathogin. But we live in a society were there are numerous gatherings to spread diseases like schools, churches, conventions, music concerts, protests and political rallies.
I wrote a book about terrorists trying to spread a flu virus in America, and their two targets were Branson, Missouri - where there are family oriented music concerts, and the second was Las Vegas, the entertainment capitol of the world. The scheme was to infect the attendees inside the concert halls, and have them spread it to their home towns around the nation.
