(Excerpts from Chapter 2 of "Darkness Over America")
It has been said that when poverty comes in the doorway, romance goes out the window. But in this case, after a nuclear war, starvation, a pandemic and poverty was only one aspect of the people’s problems. Not only was romance difficult to come by, the average citizen’s desires were no longer valued by the government. Dating, marriages and raising a family were things of the past. White couples in a dystopian world were looked at as a virus, and nearly outlawed and frowned on as “destroyers of the world” with so-called deadly over population.
But the truth was, the desire for romance, love and companionship was healthy for all people. But in a world gone mad, the very foundations of a wholesome society had been shaken to the core and replaced with anti-nature activities. There was no more balance in the world for relationships, families and natural procreation.
This politically correct mindset didn’t happen overnight and wasn’t entirely a result of the nuclear war. The destruction of a wholesome society was started in earnest several decades before the bombs fell. It was delivered to the West from political change agents that presented this communist philosophy like a disease that entered into the body of a host victim. It was preached on the pulpits of college classrooms like a cult religion, one generation after another. Until, one day the nation woke up and found itself believing and living a lie.
Even the older generations were so brainwashed by political correctness that they had no resistance to its diabolical power over the mind of mankind. The very essence of national strength and unity had been corrupted by Marxist ideas.
The military was weakened with the majority of members being gay, lesbian, or transgendered. Marriages with a white male leader were considered an abomination against human rights that supposedly engendered systematic racism and abuse of women and minorities.
These were all lies of course, but it didn’t matter, simply because, if a person spoke up in defense of heterosexual marriages and male led families, they were shouted down as enemies of the state and their very words were considered hate speech and literally outlawed.
This meant that the thoughts of Americans were illegal and there was no constitution to defend a person’s rights. All those rights were gone, not for a day or a few months, but forever. And this change didn’t happen overnight, but came gradually in small increments. Until one day, the catalyst of a national emergency was thrust on the people, and then the government that existed at that time, exploited the event to their advantage. They always had a policy of never letting an emergency event go to waste.
So, they were very patient, they waited until their political change agents had done their job of brainwashing and programming the people in the schools and colleges. And the drug dealers did their job of dumbing down the masses so they were unable to resist tyranny. And the mercenary police and military did their job by enforcing unconstitutional actions, and patting themselves on the back for following the orders of tyrants. And the corrupt politicians did their job by passing laws that weakened the nation and allowed them to profit from wars all over the globe. The churches did their job by telling people to obey their kings, presidents and leaders “as unto god himself.”
This was all done until the nation was fully ripe for the picking. Then in an instant, in one day, in one hour, the entire American system collapsed as the bombs fell. In one hour, the entire national electric grid went down. In one hour, the entire banking, stock market and financial system collapsed.
In one hour, the bridges were blown up by radical terrorists that had been invited in across our open borders. In one hour, our railroads and highways were destroyed in key areas to stop all commerce. In one hour, our fuel supplies were destroyed nationwide. In one hour, our food warehouses went up in flames. In one hour, all air traffic ended and all airports were put out of service.
And, in that hour, the wealthy elite and politicians all fled to their underground bunkers, leaving the citizens of America to either be incinerated in nuclear blasts or to die lingering slow deaths in a radioactive wasteland.
And why did all this happen? Because there was not one man left to stand up for truth, not one. Oh, there were some that thought about it, in passing. But the risk was too great, the cost too high - and they preferred to take the easy way out and embrace the lies and the status quo rather than risk their lives for liberty and truth.
The old world of patriotism and principles was gone, completely and utterly gone, and the new world of “benefits and profits” ruled the minds of the people.
Marybeth and her friends inherited that new world. They were now just another cog in the machine, like robots mindlessly performing their menial tasks.
They woke up in a world where resistance was futile and making a stand for liberty was not an act of courage but nothing less than suicide.
It was too late to resist, educate and inspire people to the truth. It was too late to march on Washington, DC and take back the nation and re-establish the Constitutional Republic. There had to be another option, Marybeth thought to herself. I can’t live like this. I can’t raise a family in this environment. I can’t even find a man for companionship and who will love me?!
There must be another way. Perhaps I could escape to a remote rural area where people lived off the land. She had heard of such areas, but wasn’t sure if they were only rumors or actually based on reality. But one thing was certain, she could not survive in this locked down, walled city and pretend to be a free person. Living alone the rest of her life was not an option. Performing as a sex slave for state sponsored “nationalized sex duties", was not an option.
All she needed, she thought to herself, is one man, a good man with principles, that would be my partner and defend me like a man should. That is all I need. As a team we can find a way out of this slave system and be free. It would be worth it. Together they could escape this communist prison and then send word to Michael and his team and they will come and rescue us from this evil place, and we will never, ever come back to this hell hole again!
A tear fell on the pillow as Marybeth thought of these things, and slowly she drifted off to sleep in a run-down, cramped apartment in the suburbs of Dallas. (unquote)
