This is one of the reasons I shield myself EVERY SINGLE DAY. I shield myself, my boyfriend, our apartment (including the patio and front door) - sometimes I shield my cat.
I also invoke a shield of protection around us whenever we venture outside, whether on foot or in a vehicle.
Imagine an aura of protective light (usually white) around you - a "bubble of protection", if you will. Positive energy.
I then give thanks for the beauty in this World and for the abundance that is my Life. For I and my loved ones have much to be thankful for. We all do. I also ask the Goddess if there is anything I can do for HER.
One doesn't have to be a Wiccan to do this. Christians can invoke God, Jesus, or even Mary.
