Kiss marks and the janitor

In an all-girls high school, there was a clever janitor. One day, he was quietly doing one of his jobs — cleaning the bathroom — when he noticed a bunch of kiss marks on the mirrors.

He got angry at the sight of it. But he decided not to dwell on his negative emotion and do something actionable instead.

He was hopeful. The girls seemed smart and reasonable. After he wiped away the kiss marks, he left instructions on a piece of paper.

Please don’t leave kiss marks on the mirror. Lipstick stains are difficult to clean.

The next day, the janitor went inside the bathroom to clean. And much to his dismay, he saw a bunch of kiss marks on the mirrors again.

He got angry and went running to the principal’s office to report the incident.

Upon learning of the incident, the principal got angry at the students. He gave them a strong warning to not leave kiss marks on the bathroom’s mirrors.

The janitor overheard the principal when he reprimanded the students. He felt relieved. He figured the girls won’t leave kiss marks on the mirrors again.

But he was wrong.

The next day, it was as if the girls weren’t reprimanded by the principal, at all.

Again, when he went inside the bathroom, he found kiss marks on the mirror. Worse, there were more of them compared to the ones he found during the previous days.

Furious, he bolted out of the bathroom and went straight to the principal’s office. He was mad at the girls for their stubbornness and also at the principal for not punishing the girls’ actions.

“The girls are hard-headed. Based on experience, they don’t easily follow my orders. Wait it out. They’ll grow out of this,” said the principal.

Rather than say things out of anger and things that will probably get him fired, the janitor walked out to get some fresh air. He was sick and tired of the situation. And he didn’t know what to do.

He needed to think. And after about an hour, he had an idea to solve his dilemma.

The next day, he went inside the bathroom. Though he was angry at the sight of kiss marks on the mirrors, he quietly did his job — he cleaned the bathroom. Then he left a note.

“Please don’t leave kiss marks on the mirrors. I don’t want to wipe them clean again with the same sponge I used to clean the toilet bowl.”

It worked! The next day, the janitor entered the bathroom and didn’t find a single kiss mark on the mirrors.

Moral lesson: Other people can’t always fix things for you. If you want your situation to get better, you’re the one who has to figure out a solution.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Ms. Greene of Georgia (for herself and Mr. Gaetz) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

RESOLUTION

Impeaching Joseph Robinette Biden, President of the United States, for high crimes and misdemeanors.

Resolved, That Joseph Robinette Biden, President of the United States, is impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors and that the following Articles of Impeachment be exhibited to the United States Senate:

Articles of Impeachment exhibited by the House of Representatives of the United States of America in the name of itself and of the people of the United States of America, against Joseph Robinette Biden, President of the United States of America, in maintenance and support of its impeachment against him for high crimes and misdemeanors.

ARTICLE I

The Constitution provides that the House of Representatives “shall have the sole Power of Impeachment” and that the President “shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”.

In his conduct as President of the United States, in violation of his constitutional oath faithfully to execute the office of the President of the United States, and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend, the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, Joseph Robinette Biden abused the power of the Office of the President by endangering the security of the United States and thwarting the will of Congress as set forth in duly enacted law, in that:

President Biden has allowed aliens to enter the United States in violation of the immigration laws, admitted aliens who have tested positive for COVID–19 during the pandemic into the United States, thwarted the will of Congress as set forth in duly enacted law by not completing the southern border wall, and deprived border agents of the sufficient manpower and resources needed to secure the border and its physical infrastructure.

His conduct has included the following:

(1) President Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (hereinafter referred to as “DHS”) has willfully refused to maintain operational control of the border as required by the Secure Fence Act of 2006. His actions have directly led to an increase in illegal aliens and illegal narcotics, including deadly fentanyl, entering the United States.

(2) President Biden’s administration has willfully violated the Immigration and Nationality Act by releasing illegal aliens into the interior of the United States. The Act clearly requires DHS to detain aliens seeking admission to the United States while they are processed. By law, DHS does not have the option to simply release aliens into the interior of the United States.

(3) President Biden has reinstituted the catch and release policies of the Obama administration and has released aliens into the interior of the United States without issuing the aliens notices to appear.

(4) Under President Biden’s administration, the Department of Homeland Security terminated the Migrant Protection Protocols, which provided a pathway to process claims in compliance with the law, and served as a deterrent to illegal immigration and aliens making fraudulent asylum claims.

(5) As a result of President Biden’s policies, Customs and Border Patrol (hereinafter referred to as “CBP”) encounters have increased each month since he became President. Since January 2021, over 6,000,000 border crossers have been encountered by CBP personnel or evaded capture.

(6) In addition to illegal aliens, President Biden’s policies have led to a significant increase in illegal drug smuggling across the southern border. Fentanyl now kills over 300 Americans every day.

President Biden, by these actions, has made the border less secure and encouraged aliens to enter the United States illegally instead of taking actions to maintain operational control of the border. His actions have thwarted the will of Congress as set forth in duly enacted law and the core tenets of the Constitution.

Article II of the U.S. Constitution tasks the executive branch—which today includes the DHS—with ensuring the laws passed by Congress and signed into law by the President are faithfully executed. Under President Biden’s administration, the DHS has willfully violated the Immigration and Nationality Act. His actions have endangered Americans, thwarted the will of Congress as set forth in duly enacted law, and violated the very rule of law.

Wherefore President Biden, by such conduct, has demonstrated that he will remain a threat to national security and the Constitution if allowed to remain in office, and has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with the rule of law. President Biden thus warrants impeachment and trial, removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States.

ARTICLE II

The Constitution provides that the House of Representatives “shall have the sole Power of Impeachment” and that the President “shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”.

In his conduct as President of the United States, in violation of his constitutional oath faithfully to execute the office of the President of the United States, and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend, the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, Joseph Robinette Biden abused the power of the Office of the President by endangering the security of the United States, in that:

He enacted border policies that endangered the people of the United States by allowing illegal aliens who had tested positive for COVID–19 to enter the country and infect American citizens.

On March 20, 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (hereinafter referred to as “CDC”) issued an order, pursuant to sections 362 and 365 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 265 and 268) (hereinafter referred to as “Title 42”), suspending the right to introduce certain persons into the United States from countries where a quarantinable communicable disease exists. This order has been extended multiple times since it was first issued. According to the CDC, this order is necessary “to protect the public health from an increase in the serious danger of the introduction of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID–19) into the ports of entry, and the Border Patrol stations between ports of entry, at or near the United States borders with Canada and Mexico.”.

The law requires Border Patrol agents and other CBP officers to enforce the order. Despite this requirement, President Biden’s administration has refused to faithfully implement this order as evidenced by the increasing number of aliens processed by CBP under the Immigration and Nationality Act instead of expelled pursuant Title 42.

If DHS was unable to expel aliens pursuant to Title 42, it should not have released aliens into the interior of the United States where they could spread COVID–19. However, instead of detaining aliens as required by law, under President Biden’s leadership DHS released and transported hundreds of thousands of aliens into the interior of the United States without properly screening the aliens for COVID–19 to ensure that the aliens would not spread COVID–19. These actions subjected the American people to unnecessary and avoidable risks.

President Biden clearly violated his duties as President in failing to enforce our Nation’s immigration laws. He has violated his constitutional oath of office by failing to enforce laws enacted by Congress and by usurping Congress’ spending authority. President Biden’s abuse of power has endangered America and the very laws that govern her.

Wherefore President Biden, by such conduct, has demonstrated that he will remain a threat to national security and the Constitution if allowed to remain in office, and has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with the rule of law. President Biden thus warrants impeachment and trial, removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States.

Further, given that there are only 19,000 Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents to watch the entire country, the executive repeal of the “Remain in Mexico” policy, failing to complete the southern border wall, repair gates stuck open or shut, and canceling contracts with critical technology companies providing critical video surveillance, and paying over $2,000,000,000 in Americans tax dollars to not build and maintain the wall, President Biden is breaking his sworn oath as President of the United States to protect and defend the United States against all enemies.

In each of these actions, President Biden has failed to enact policies and has created an environment of lawlessness to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.

Wherefore President Biden, by such conduct, has demonstrated that he will remain a threat to national security and the Constitution if allowed to remain in office, and has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with the rule of law. President Biden thus warrants impeachment and trial, removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States.
