For those fascinated by the topic, this episode of STAR TREK VOYAGER is worth tracking down:

The storyline for the entire episode is that Janeway is wounded and has a Near Death Experience. The audience, and indeed her character, are given the impression the wound is fatal and she will not be returning. She encounters individuals from her past, specifically her father, who aggressively persuade her to "follow the light" into a portal. But she resists. Only toward the end of the episode does she realize that the entity talking to her "as her father" is NOT her father and she is being tricked. Her crew at the very last minute brings her back to life before she is forced to confront the trickster.

Might be a useful exercise to imagine the script meeting where this episode was green-lighted. What did the writer "know" that compelled him to devote an entire episode to this oddball topic, and share this very peculiar idea with millions worldwide???

Comments and some trivia:

The issue of the Tunnel of Light being hijacked by tricksters has been discussed by channelers and remote viewers. But remains a very hard topic to research. Obvious reasons.

The free non-paywalled release of a special session by Farsight (as in my earlier message) followed the journey of an individual through the death process (via remote viewing) and confirmed that such a "trickster" scenario exists. Which is why the operator of Farsight felt un-characteristically compelled to release that session on YT for free. Which is itself very rare.

Trivia:

In one of the astonishing books left by the late and even more astonishing Dolores Cannon, she hypnotizes a client to access the store of information available between lives (essentially "Edgar Cayce on a budget") and is told that the late Gene Roddenberry was an "unconscious contactee" in that true information was shown to him in his dreams which led to the creation of STAR TREK.

In a session from Veronica Jayne (Cayce-style reader, some Youtube exposure) she has said that, for Earth incarnates who originated from planetary systems other than Earth (seemingly a much greater percentage of the population than one might expect), NOT going back through the reincarnation cycle here is indeed an option. This reinforces the notion of "planetary sojourns" as discussed by the late Edgar Cayce -- see Amazon book "Planetary Influences & Sojourns" featuring excerpts from Cayce sessions. Veronica Jayne is a newish reader and no followup questions were asked at the time of that specific comment.

Finally, for diehard fans of Janeway, you can find her earlier in her career playing eye candy in the unmitigated flop REMO WILLIAMS: THE ADVENTURE BEGINS (1985) produced by the late Dick Clark. (Movie was so incredibly bad it killed the hi-demand movie franchise, based on the multi-million-selling DESTROYER series of paperbacks, before it even began).
