I could not help but respond to the SOTN posted video claiming that atomic bombs did NOT destroy Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of WWII.

The video obviously intentionally neglects to mention that atomic (and nuclear) bombs are air-burst devices. Air-burst bombs detonate thousands of feet above the target ground, whereas conventional bombs as were used to attack Japanese homeland targets other than Hiroshima and Nagasaki were impact bombs that detonate upon reaching or impacting the target ground. If an atomic bomb were to hit the ground before exploding, it would just make an impact crater filled with twisted metal. Also, the maximum effect of an atomic explosion is really only achieved via air-burst well above the target.

The "evidence" presented in the video never addresses the factual result of an air-burst device, which is totally confirmed by the nature of the physical damage done to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. If there were no atomic devices that were used on these two Japanese cities, where did the radiation come from that ravaged the survivors of the attacks?

SOTN really degrades its overall message by posting illegitimate claims like this.
