Ukraine’s Defense Minister is calling for an invasion of Russia. British Intelligence Declares classical literature terrorism. Say what? These headlines are unbelievable. I really wish these fools would call their agencies anything except Intelligence. How about Purveyors of Terrorism? That is about all they know how to do. They act like delinquent children who will do anything for attention. In this situation, they are likely to get far more attention from Putin than they want or can handle. Is there no common sense left anywhere?

In the Minsk Agreement, we promised, Gorbachev, who was way too trusting of our intentions, that we would not make Ukraine into a nuclear nation; we would not build military bases on Russia’s border; that we would not encourage Ukraine to join NATO, which these days isn’t much more than a paper tiger since several of these countries depend on Russia for their oil and gas.

We have broken every one of these promises. Then, in 2014, we funded a coup to depose the Democratically elected president and replaced him with our puppet. After that, we belligerently crossed every red line that Putin drew as he warned what would happen if Ukraine continued their assault on Russian speaking republics. So, why was anyone surprised when Putin finally had enough and invaded Ukraine? How many chances did we expect to get?

I think we are closer to a nuclear war than many people realize. It seems to me that Putin has been more than reasonable and patient. People keep trying to compare these events to the Cuban Missile Crisis. The part they forget to include is that Khrushchev sending those nuclear missiles to Cuba was in retaliation for our putting missiles in Turkey, pointed toward the USSR. We just don’t seem to be learning our lesson very well. Putin must think our military leaders are brain dead. There is no such thing as a limited nuclear war.

Oh, and the Ukraine Defense Minister calling for an invasion of Russia, is like an ant crawling up an elephant’s hind leg with rape on it’s mind.
