Hello readers,

I am from the Alberta praries, used to live litterally beside the tracks, when these tankers would come in for fun we would check to see which ones were full and which ones were empty.

What we found out, is that just because they are being stored on unused or rarely used short track, does not by any means mean they are empty of materials, hazardous or not.

One of the sure fire ways to check is to knock on the sides of the tanker cars.

Check them ALL.

empty ones will ring like a bell, ones with materials will not, it will be a dull sound to the knock.

Its a sure fire way to check, I know this because we used to do it all the time when tanker cars were stored on the short track outside my house.

Can someone please spread this info to those who have access to the cars,

also it would be wise for one of them to slip a GPS device the cars, so they can be tracked at all times, to find out where they may be placed to give people warning ahead of time.
