Song: "I'd Love To Change The World" by Ten Years After
I can't listen to this song without tears welling up in my eyes. This was written spontaneously by a member of the band in an airplane from Europe, on their way to the Woodstock festival in New York, August 15, 1969. They played it for the first time at the festival before it was ever recorded in a record.
This song personified the frustration and protest against the Viet Nam war and the senseless sacrifice of tens of thousands of American men.
When they said "stop the war" in the lyrics it verbalized in a timely manner what everyone had on their minds, not only to over a million people at the festival, but across America.
Those years may have meant different things to different people, but the underlying movement was to expose the military industrial complex and the corruption of starting wars for corporation profits, as well as politicians receiving kickbacks to keep the war machine going.
Blood was on the hands of those that started that war, then they left the area in defeat after an excess of 50,000 young men gave their lives. For what?!?
And it wasn't over. Once the survivors came home it is estimated another 50,000 committed suicide. These realities are not taught in our schools.
We are being led by the same wealthy elite, corrupt leaders that fabricated a pandemic and then forced people to take an untested, deadly vax, and now they're marching the west into a nuclear war with Russia. George Eaton
