In this video I'll be making some good ol' fashioned Corn Soup.

This is my granny's recipe from way back. It is a basic recipe there are tons of variations, so fix it up to suit your taste. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

In case you are like me and you don’t know, soups made with a milk/cream base are chowder.

Ingredients:

Corn – 12 ounces frozen, 5 or 6 ears fresh, or 1 can whole kernel & 1 can cream style
2 cups diced potatoes
1 diced onion
2 tablespoons of real butter
1 cup water
2 cups milk (plant based milk can be used)
salt & pepper to taste
options:
1 cup chicken broth
1 grated carrot
1 diced stalk celery
1 diced bell pepper
1 or 2 diced tomatoes
Sour Cream
Bacon
Cheese
