My back-story: (You can skip this if you just want to see the article.)
This article was found by my wife, Mrs.Fusion, MD, PhD. Over the weekend she got what appeared to be the flu (negative COVID test), with nausea, malaise, aches and pains, etc. She took vit. C & D, zinc, and quercetin. On Monday evening she was still feeling terrible, and I suggested she try ivermectin, even though she had been skeptical of it in the past, and I put some ivermectin tablets in front of her. She took a 12 mg tablet, but she thought it was a steroid, due to a misunderstanding. Tuesday morning she was feeling much better, and took another 12 mg tablet, and then felt well enough to go to work. When she got home she was feeling even better, and I said, I guess the ivermectin really worked. She was startled that she had taken ivermectin and not a steroid, and immediately started searching for information on it, and found this review from five years ago, long before the negative COVID related propaganda against ivermectin.

Over the past decade, the global scientific community have begun to recognize the unmatched value of an extraordinary drug, ivermectin, that originates from a single microbe unearthed from soil in Japan. Work on ivermectin has seen its discoverer, Satoshi Ōmura, of Tokyo’s prestigious Kitasato Institute, receive the 2014 Gairdner Global Health Award and the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, which he shared with a collaborating partner in the discovery and development of the drug, William Campbell of Merck & Co. Incorporated.
