Reports indicate the most recent wave of missile attacks targeted power grid, some facilities and a merc training base….and a lot of air defense sites around Kiev and Odessa. Some drones were apparently sent to “ excite” the AD network, and then missiles used to destroy sites that were identified.
Why would Russia be taking out air defenses in Kiev and Odessa?

Yessir, precursor to the blitz. Continuing degradation of the electrical infrastructure (That won't stop until Kiev is dark) and now strikes directly hitting advanced air defense systems. Russkies intend to make the airspace relatively safe for their stealth aircraft, which sooner or later will be tasked with the Dnepr bridges, among other things. You need air dropped iron bombs to take out large bridges. Estimate that these "treatments" will continue and intensify, along with the attrition war, until all of the prerequisites are met, then.....
