“I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it anymore!” That’s the famous line from Sidney Lumet’s 1976 film “Network”. As I was preparing to write this, I cued up the clip to make sure I was referencing it correctly. I think everyone needs to hear what actor Peter Finch’s character, a news anchor named Howard Beale said in this famous tirade, because it applies exactly to what is happening today. For those of you who don’t want to take the time to find it, let me give you Paddy Chayefsky’s words right now. Words for which we won an Oscar, the only person to ever receive 3 of them for his writing.
“I don’t have to tell you things are bad, everybody knows things are bad. It’s a depression! Everybody’s out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel’s worth. Banks are going bust. Shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter. Punks are running wild in the streets, and there’s nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there’s no end to it. We know our air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat, and we sit watching our tvs while some local newscaster tells us that today we had 15 homicides and 63 violent crimes, as if that’s the way it’s supposed to be. We know things are bad - worse than bad, it’s like everything, everywhere is going crazy, so we don’t go out anymore. We sit in the house and slowly the world we are living in is getting smaller, and all we say is: please leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my tv and my steel belted radials and I won’t say anything, just leave us alone. Well, I’m not going to leave you alone! I want you to get MAD. I don’t want you to protest, I don’t want you to riot, I don’t want you to write to your congressman, because I wouldn’t know what to tell you to write. I don’t know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crime in the street. All I know is first you’ve got to get mad. You’ve got to say I’M A HUMAN BEING GOD-DAMMIT! MY LIFE HAS VALUE! So I want you to get up now, I want you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out and yell I’M MAD AS HELL AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!
The tirade goes on for a bit longer. Chayefsky’s words and Peter Finch’s acting are far better than anything I could ever come up with, and this was from 1976! It’s like he had a crystal ball. One can easily substitute today’s madness in Chayefsky’s writing. The one line that really struck me was “I’m a human being, God-dammit, my life has value!” Our political class of morons and narcissists have completely obliterated that concept. Everyday I look at news stories that if they were written just a couple of years ago, would have been dismissed as the ramblings of a lunatic. I see our constitution being ripped to shreds, politicians and pundits advocating for the right to murder unborn children. One World Order monsters, who want to depopulate the planet, with disease and starvation and nuclear fucking war! Freaks and deviants who want to normalize pedophilia, and sexually mutilate our children.
The list of bullshit and madness keeps growing larger every day. I wish that there was a way that we could force all of the perpetrators of these lies and insanity to just tell the fucking truth for once! I might be able to deal with that, but the constant stream of crap that spews like so much vomit from our media is enough to drive anyone nuts.
I am mad as hell, I hope you are as well. Unfortunately screaming it out the window won’t accomplish anything, while it may relieve some stress, it won’t stop what’s going on. The midterm elections might help, but I have my doubts, if the deep state can steal a presidential election, then stealing the midterms should be a piece of cake. One thing I believe could happen it they do manage to steal this election, is a reaction from patriots that would make Jan 6th look like a tea party. Then, I think a whole lot of people will be mad as hell, and they won’t just be yelling it out the window, they just might be yelling it from the butt of a rifle.
Every election cycle we are told that this election will be the most pivotal in American history. With the undeniable theft of the last presidential election, this may finally prove to be true. All of the deep state Demicans and Republicrats need to go asap, they need to go to jail. Not just for the treasonous crimes they have committed against America, but also by enabling the progressive-globalist agenda, they have perpetrated crimes against humanity.
I’m so sick of this, the constant lies and manipulations that come from both sides, but primarily, almost exclusively, from the left, for them, lying and manipulation are like breathing. Some are so ridiculous that you dismiss them instantly, like Biden saying our economy is as “strong as hell!” It’s the more insidious one’s that make me mad as hell, the ones that cost people their lives, like “the vaccine is safe and effective” or this is a “pandemic of the unvaccinated.” The worst liar of all is Herr Dr Mengela-Fauci, who facilitated the implementation of all the disastrous Covid policies with his so-called “expertise”, while reaping huge financial benefits with his ties to big pharma. Then this despicable piece of crap refuses to take any blame whatsoever when all of his recommendations are proven to be complete failures. “Fauci lied and millions died” should be a motto for all of us who are as mad as hell, at least those of us who are still left alive.
The masses voicing their anger is going to be the only way to stop this insanity, and I don’t mean just opening your window and shouting out. Unlike Chayefsky’s news anchor Howard Beale, we need to protest, we need to make our voices heard, so loudly that they simply can’t be ignored by our criminal mainstream media. As of now, I’m still not advocating the use of violence, even though with the brown-shirt tactics of Biden’s Gestapo like Department of Injustice, violence is being used against the people. An uprising of peacefully protesting people will speak with a voice that can’t be denied, a voice that will echo Chayefsky’s prophetic words. I’m pissed off, are you? Are you mad as hell? Are you going to keep on taking this bullsh!t they are cramming down our throats? I guess the answer remains to be seen. Traditionally Americans have been slow to anger, I don’t know if we have finally reached the boiling point, but in my heart, I think we have, I hope we have, I pray we have, because only the righteous anger of “We The People” can stem the tide and restore our country.
I apologize for the swearing if it offends anyone, but I am pissed-off, I am most certainly as mad as hell. The time has come for all Americans to be mad at what’s being done, purposely, to our country and to the world. It’s time to be angry, to demand change and realize we are human beings that have value, God-dammit, and we won’t let you get away with treating us like so many expendable sheep.
