Huge explosion near British air force base RAF Welford
The official explanation is it was an accident at a "fireworks factory" and the media has completely downplayed it, but RAF Welford is located right in between the two motorway junctions stated as the location of the blast.

Welford is the biggest munitions base in Europe and has a USAF presence, and is also rumoured to store nuclear warheads, which are manufactured for the UK nuclear weapons program at near by AWE in Aldermaston.

Some of the comments are claiming that local residents saw an object moving at high speed in the sky moments before the blast.

Have the Russians struck a possibly nuclear weapons facility in the UK with a hypersonic missile and the British government are covering it up?

comments from GLP: RAF Welford is one of the largest ammunition compounds for the United States Air Force in Western Europe for heavy munitions.

Actually some years ago whistle blowers called Barry King and James Casbolt made accusations that there is a DUMB called "AL/499" under a village called Peasemore located very near there, and connected to RAF Welford, as well as AWE and Greenham Common by underground tunnels.
At the time most just dismissed them as nutters and their claims never got much traction, but this explosion certainly makes me wonder in the context of this info.

The bombs for the B52s are kept at welford but they are well deep, and if it did catch fire you wouldn’t be able to see it from the road, you have to go up a big steep road to get to it. Watching the video you can see the fireworks going off, the base is quite far away from that farm , it has a few storage units there, being local I can tell you that the base is about a mile away from there, and the weapons storage is closer to the M4.
