The following video by Galen Brown on 14 April 2020 is a short documentary film about the groundwater in Elmvale, Ontario, and William Shotyk, a professor who has been sampling and testing the water, for many years. Test results show it may be one of the cleanest water sources on earth. -- "Elmvale" The Cleanest Water on Earth--- 10 minutes in length.
"As the demand for concrete grows with our cities around the world, so does the demand for aggregates to make that concrete. They are usually found in the most important parts of Earth's natural water filtration systems, the filter.
Limestones, fine gravels and so forth, are the filters that allow the groundwater to be so clean in the first place, and in Elmvale, only an hour and a half away from the Greater Toronto Area, is a perfect intersection between the decisions we have to make as a society about our future. Those are, protecting natural systems like this hydrological one, so that future generations continue to have life requiring access to fresh water, and the continual growth of our mega cities.
"A roadside artesian flow is a primary source of drinking water for thousand of people in the area. It flows non-stop all year."
The next video is from CBC News: The National on 24 Nov 2021. It reports where an " Ontario community fights to protect what’s believed to be the world’s cleanest water". -- 9 minutes in length

"The groundwater in Elmvale, Ont., is believed to be the cleanest in the world, but some residents and scientists are worried about the impact of nearby quarries. They are fighting for answers and accountability."
A resident, Bonnie Pauze, has been doing her own clinical study for about 10 years, where she has been filling jars with water from wells on her farm near Elmvale, Ontario, where she and heer family have lived for near to 30 years.
The water used to be crystal clean, but the collection of jars give a grack of an "undeniable" change. Some days the water runs clean, and other days is full of silt or sediment.
She shows some black sediment collected, so it is not always silt--loose sedimentary material with rock particles.
Bonnie says the water started to change in 2009 when a nearby quarry owned by an aggregate company started using massive amounts of water to wash the gravel. She and other residents suspect wash water has been leaking into the underlying ground water flow system. Bonnie has a filtration system but it did not stop the silt from seeping in.
