When looking at statistics it is easy to form mistaken conclusions if you don't consider the context of the data. There are people claiming that the Medicare data shows "The Total number of American Citizens that died within 14 days of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine is 48,465 according to hard data revealed in the Medicare Tracking System." However, bear in mind that millions of Americans received the shots in a fairly short time span this year, and it is normal for tens of thousands of Americans to die every week. Was having recently received a shot associated with a greater than normal risk of dying? The data cited does not address that question and is not proof that the shot is the cause of those deaths. Thus, we don't know from this data whether or not there was a causal correlation between the shots and the deaths. Thus, a fact presented out of context could easily be yielding an erroneous conclusion... critical thinking is often ignored when we find "facts" that appear to confirm our belief or bias.

Incidentally, a lawyer ought to anticipate this rebuttal/debunking of his claim. I don't know whether the lawyer pushing this is himself fooled or is trying to fool others, but if a legal case is brought forward using a flawed interpretation of data like this it is likely to fail.
